Stamp sequential page numbers onto every page of your PDF.
A document without page numbers is harder to reference in a meeting, a review, or a printed handout — “see page 12” doesn't work if there's no number 12 to point to. This tool stamps a sequential number onto every page of your PDF using the pdf-lib library, choosing the position and starting number you specify, all processed in your browser.
You can place numbers in the bottom-center, bottom-right, top-center, or top-right corner of each page, and choose what number the first page should start at — useful if your document is one part of a larger set and needs to continue numbering from where the previous part left off, or if you want to start from 0 or skip a cover page.
Select your PDF, choose a position and starting number, and click Add Numbers & Download. Every page gets numbered in sequence, and the file downloads immediately.
No installs, no accounts, and no waiting on server queues. Everything happens locally on your device.

Yes. The Start at field lets you choose any starting number, which is useful if you're numbering a section of a larger document, want to skip a cover page, or need the numbering to continue from a previous file.
You can choose bottom-center, bottom-right, top-center, or top-right, and the same position is used consistently across every page of the document.
The page number is drawn in a small font size in the margin area of the page, positioned to avoid typical page content, though on documents with unusually large margins-filling content it may overlap. Review the downloaded file to confirm placement looks right for your specific document.
Yes, but the tool will add a new number on top of the page rather than detecting or replacing any numbers already printed as part of the original content, so you may end up with two numbers on the page in that case.
